Light Rail or Light Rail Transit (LRT)
Lower capacity and lower speed than heavy rail and metro systems. Two main versions:
1. Where the tracks and trains run along the streets and share space with road traffic.
This is traditional electric tram style.
2. Where the trains run along their own right-of-way, often separated from road traffic.
Stops are generally less frequent and the passenger compartments are often boarded
from a platform.
