 | DIVINITY is a light instrumental album in which each track is based on a classical Indian raga. The final track also has some vocals by Hema Desai and chorus. The music was arranged and conducted by Ashit Desai.
This album set the scene for many albums by Sona Rupa, which bring an easy-listening style to traditional Indian melodies. The arrangements use numerous artists for each track. Around 20 musicians and singers perform on the album, featuring both Indian instruments (santoor, sarod, sitar, shehnai, bamboo flute, percussion) and Western instruments (harp, bass guitar, Spanish guitar, keyboards, vibraphone).
